Founded in 1999 by the Almare Stäket Polo Club, the EFG Bank Scandinavian Polo Open has established itself as the most prestigious polo event in Scandinavia, and a firm fixture in the Swedish social calendar.

Held in the grounds of the historic building of Almare Stäket, near Stockholm, it attracts over 2,000 spectators every year. It combines a high level of polo with other events such as a display of vintage cars and a hat parade. Many vistitors also take the oppportunity to dress up, and generally enjoy a pleasant day out watching polo in a beautiful setting.
